In Code Section 411.1, what is the water temperature required in ISEA Z358.1.?
Answer: The ISEA standard referenced (which is also ANSI Z358.1) covers emergency shower, eyewash equipment, eye/face wash equipment, handheld drench hoses and combination shower and eyewash or eye/face equipment. The mandatory portion of the standard requires that the temperature be tepid. But the installer should consult a medical advisor for specific temperature settings based on the types of chemical being used.
